My Story

Well, hello my loves welcome to my blog, my name is Saamiya and I'm going to tell a bit about myself before we dive into the fun topics. I've always felt like there were so many versions of me living inside one woman and I always had the question who am I and what is my purpose.

The woman who dreams.

The woman who struggles.

The woman who loves deeply.

The woman who is still healing.

The mother.

The eldest daughter.

The friend.

The woman trying to build a career.

The woman discovering her creativity.

The woman learning how to take care of herself while also taking care of everyone else.

For a long time, I thought I had to figure out exactly who I was before telling my story.

But maybe becoming who you are isn't about having everything figured out.

I feel it's about allowing yourself to grow through every situation/version of yourself along the way.

So, my blog is my way of documenting that journey.

I'm creating a safe space where I can talk about the beautiful parts of womanhood, but also the messy parts-the lessons, the mistake, the growth, the uncertainty, the dreams, and the moments when you have to start over.

I'll be sharing pieces of my life, motherhood, career and education, beauty, and self-care, fitness, finances, spirituality, creativity, poetry, and the things I'm learning along the way.

But more than anything, I want this to be a place for...

Becoming more confident.

Becoming more financially independent.

Becoming healthier.

Becoming more creative.

Becoming more connected with myself/yourself.

Becoming the woman, I envision when I close my eyes and visualize my future.

One thing about me I don't have perfect life and I'm still figuring things out.

I'm still learning how to balance being a mother with being my own person. I'm still discovering what I'm passionate about and what kind of life I want to create. I'm still learning that growth doesn't always look beautiful while you're going through it.

And that's exactly why I started writing.

Because maybe someone else is in that same place.

Maybe you're rebuilding.

Maybe you're starting over.

Maybe you feel like you've lost yourself somewhere between being everything for everyone else and trying to become something for yourself.

Or maybe you're simply curious about who you're becoming.

Wherever you are, I hope you find something here on my blog that speaks to you.

As you clearly can see this isn't the story of a woman who has everything figured out.

It's the story of a woman who is figuring it out as she goes.

And this is where my story begins.
