Things I'm learning about in my early 20's.

Being in your 20's are so weird especially as a woman, like what nowwwww lol. Do I really need to explain? Ok here I go....
Your early 20's are such a strange time in your life. We're old enough to make our own decisions yet still feel lost or unfulfilled with life yet we're still figuring out what life really is about. We're learning how to take care of ourselves, manage money, navigate relationships, build a career, and create a life that feels good and satisfying.
I'm learning that we don't have to have our entire lives figured out just because we officially entered adulthood/20's. You're allowed to change your mind about your career. We evolve, we change, that's literally what we're meant to do adapt and evolve. Point is your allowed to leave that job that's on your last nerve. Now girl I will say be smart about it and have another job lined up if you can lol but if not sadly sh*t happens but hey, that's what your 20's are for, to make the mistakes and learn now rather than years on down the line. You're allowed to outgrow certain friendships and set boundaries without it being bad blood or beef. You're allowed to want more for yourself without feeling like what you have now isn't enough. Another thing, stop comparing yourself to others. Comparison is the thief of joy and that's real! Be authentic and believe it or not your struggles make you authentic as well, people can relate or may have the same issue.
I'm also learning independence goes far beyond having your own place or making your own money. It's about being able to advocate for yourself. That's a big one!!! Make decisions for yourself without asking someone all the time, sit within yourself and think for you, handle your responsibilities, and trust yourself enough to know that mistakes happen or setbacks in other words, but you will figure it out.
And then there's relationships UGHHHHHHHHH!!! Now before I explain I just want ya'll to know i'm talking about all relationships. The relationship with ya momma, the relationship with your cousin, co-worker, boyfriend, girlfriend or whatever ALL relationships. So you're early 20's can teach you that loving people doesn't mean giving everyone unlimitied access to you. Me personally that sh*t drains my energy. Boundaries aren't about being mean or a b*tch or selfishhhh but usally they're simply about what you need or know you need in order to have healthier relationships with the people in your life or just yourself.
I guess overall what i'm trying to explain is that growth doesn't mean becoming a whole new person to satisfy others. It means becoming more aware of yourself, learning what feels right for you and what doesn't and I cannot stress this enough SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF!!! It's about learning what you value and what kind of life you want to create.
You might scroll on social media and feel like everyone has it figured out. Someone graduating, someone getting married, someone pregnant or starting a family, someone buying a house, someone starting a business. It might seem like someone has the perfect life but trust me they don't and, i'm not saying this to knock anyones accomplishments but the truth is theres a gray area in everyones life where they don't feel fullfilled. So my key take away on this is to live for you, don't try to live for the approval of others because you and everyone else don't have the same goals, values, morals or etc. Especially in our early 20's majority of us are stil figuring sh*t out regardlessof whatever.
You're early 20's are not the final version of you, they're part of the process.
You're learning, you're making mistakes, you're changing your mind, you're discovering what you want, you're figuring out what you also won't accept anymore.
And to conclude that's what I strongly feel your 20's are --- not having all the answers because honestly who the f*ck does and while also being confident to ask yourself the right questions and BE REAL WITH YOURSELF AND HONEST because it's really you vs you. If you can't be real, raw and authentic with you, then you might need to ste back and do some shadow work (aka) inner work.
Also remember you don't have to have all the answers today, becasue girl you won't lol they won't all come rushing in today, they come to us over time a we grow and learn/expierence life.
I hope you guys enjoyed my little article. Mind you i'm in my early 20's as well so hey i'm going through the expierence too.
